One of the machines on our network has what we suspect to be a corrupt hard drive which, in an interesting bit of randomness, has affected the area of the hard drive upon which the administrator account’s info is stored, which has suddenly changed the local admin into a standard account instead of an administrator. This means that this machine effectively has no admin.
A quick brainstorming session resulted in the idea of creating a mobile admin account that could be used to administrate multiple machines, and not just the server, so we could run a few diagnostics. The problem being that we do not see a quick way to create this sort of account, and some searching has revealed that there doesn’t seem to be much (if any) documentation on the subject.
Does anyone know of a way to make a Mobile/Network Account which could be an Admin on all computers of a network?
