Hoping someone Mactroll or someone knows the answer to this!

I have 10.5.6 clients setup and on the server I have it set to “Create Mobile Accounts” on login at the User Group level and let the user choose where to put the users Home. This was working fine yesterday and I had to shut this off on the server and today I turned it back on and the clients won’t work now and ask me where to put the users Home at.

To get them to work again I have to manually go into Directory Utility and check the box within AD to “Create Mobile Account”. This setting seemed like it was taken from the server yesterday, but not today.

I tried taking a machine I didn’t mess with yesterday and tried logging in and its working fine. Its acting as if something is cached on the local machine, but I don’t know what?

I found a couple of new plists in /Library/Preferences and deleted them and that fixed it on one machine, but not the other. The files were com.apple.preferences.accounts.plist and com.apple.ExternalAccounts.plist.

When you logout the users mobile account gets removed and I have confirmed its still not on the local machine. I thought maybe some kind of file was on the thumb drive where I am placing the External Mobile Home and reformatted it but it still won’t work.

Any ideas on what is cached?

    Thanks,

    Dan
