Consolidating Accounts

Hi All,

I’m currently in the middle of a consolidation project to move all our applications to leverage our OD for all our user account.

FirstClass is one that I’m going to move over durning the summer, and I’m replacing a filemaker system with a J2EE web based application that is currently using the OD for user accounts.

My question is this.

Does anyone know of a JAVA Library that will allow me to create user accounts in OD while by passing Leopard Server’s GUI Consoles?

My goal is to automate as much as I can, and if I can add that logic to the J2EE web app, then I’m totally ahead of the game.

Hope someone can share some info.

I can not help when it comes to java.

If you can get java to interact with the command line this may help. Otherwise I guess you will have to use the DirectoryService API to do it.
This man page describes how to create an account via command line.
