    Question:
Is there a way to connect to a Mac from Windows for peer to peer* file sharing using your Active Directory credentials?

*By P2P I don’t mean bittorrent. I’m talking about basic cross-platform file sharing on the same network.

I have my Macs bound to AD, everything authenticates, single sign on works, I can use Windows print servers, etc. etc. The only thing I can’t seem to figure out is how to connect to a Macs Public folder from Windows without having all of the accounts created on each Mac.

I’ve been looking for a fix to this for a long time and haven’t found an answer yet.

I wanted to post a correction to this. I stated that I can use Windows print servers but it turns out I can’t. I can see the printers in Printer Browser and add them but when I try to print to them I get an error that says NT_STATUS-ACCESS_DENIED.

I believe this is a seperate issue from the subject of this post so I’ll start a new thread for this one.

    Thanks,
    JS
