I’m having issues with connecting to SMB shares in an AD domain with OS X10.6. The Mac’s are bounded to the AD domain, excepting and storing Kerberos tickets thanks to the MAC article HT4100. ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4100 ) When I connect to Windows 2008 SMB shares I receive a good ticket without being prompted for a username or password and I can access the share. When connecting to a Windows 2003 SMB share I get a username and password prompt then I can access the share. With in the Kerberos.app from 10.5 I have an expired ticket from the Windows 2003 box.
(I was able to obtain the Kerberos.app from 10.5 which is much better that the Ticket Viewer.app in 10.6)
I am not too sure if it is a purely Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 problem. I was able to connect fine with a ticket to Windows 7 and Windows XP. But all of the Windows 2003 servers so far I have not been able to connect with Kerberos. Searching I have found very little on this issue there was one forum that has come close to the same issue which does not look like he found much on the issue either. https://www.afp548.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=25462
Thank you for your help,
Ryan
