The computers in my lab are all slowly switching to guest access.

In workgroup manager, I have machine groups for our printing machines, scanning machines, general photoshop machines, etc.

These groups all have the same user auto logging in. I have noticed that many of the computers are no longer showing the correct dock or other managed preferences.

When I go check the group that the computer should actually be in, that computer’s MAC address can be found there. It does not show up in it’s assigned group during a search, instead, it appears only in the Guest Group).

Does anyone have a clue as to why all of my computers are slowly turning into immovable guest computers?

I already had the guest account set to define.
Unfortunately, I have 12 separate groups of computers that need different configurations (about 30 to 40 comps per group).

So when one falls into the guest group and refuses to leave. It’s preferences become the same as all other guest computers, regardless of which group they used to be in.

I have already tried clicking the “empty cache” button in the cache tab under guest workgroup. I could find nothing on the web that might point me towards people with a similar problem.

    Anyone have any other ideas?
