Not sure what happened, restored OD from 10.5 Server (latest update) to 10.6.3 server. Cannot configure iChat, no start or stop button either. I tried all the other options out there to make the button show up with nothing working.
So I did some digging around in dscl, noticed that on the server in question, there is NO ClientServices entry. Checked on my server and its there will all the services defined.
My question is this:
Can I just create keys using WGM and manually enter the information so that it mirrors what I have, substituting the correct kerberos realm and dns name of course or is the (i assume UUID) unique to the service per machine?
To further clarify, here is a snippet from my (known good) server under ClientServices:
calendar
355CA038-CA3A-41F6-B5F1-51622723F829
caldav
AccountDescription
od1.jsr-computers.biz
Hostname
od1.jsr-computers.biz
KerberosRealm
OD1.JSR-COMPUTERS.BIZ
The string I am questioning is the 355CA038-CA3A-41F66-B5F1-51622723F829
Is that an identifier to my calendar service or is that just a unique id for the entry?
I am OK with manually entering the info via WGM I just need to know if I need to find this string somewhere to make the manual entries in WGM?
