First off, any and all information would be helpful as I am new to this type of setup.
Overview of my setup:
I have Leopard Server 10.5.8 running as LDAP but connected to Active DIrectory. This server is only used for computer classrooms and labs and will be managing preferences and pushing updates to these connected computers. I have the client computers connected to the Apple server LDAP. The login to these computers are through Active Directory. All clients login without any problems, but they will not pull down all the managed preferences. I have groups setup on the Xserve and the AD accounts are in these groups. Some computers will pull some preferences down, some will pull other preferences down. Only a few will pull all the preferences down. Clients are 10.5 but many will be upgraded to 10.6 in the next month or so.
My question:
Does anyone one have a good solution to get all the clients to pull all the managed preferences down all the time? I know taking AD completely out of the equation will solve the problem but that is where all the accounts are held and there is no way around this.
