[i:8d9ef92b56]Fantastic[/i:8d9ef92b56] review of Panther Server! It’s the best that I’ve seen, and one of the few to mention the (IMHO [b:8d9ef92b56]huge[/b:8d9ef92b56]) limitation of the missing ACLs in the fileserver component.

One of my burning questions that didn’t seem to be addressed in the review: since NetInfo can now be replaced (partially?) by OD, does that mean that the IP-change mess is no longer an issue? I understood that it was a NetInfo thing….

If the IP address is still not easily changeable (without hosing the system, that is), does Panther Server prevent the admin from the changing the IP address, in case they’re is ignorant of the consequences of doing so? IOW, is the option grayed out or something else appropriate like that?

In case it’s useful to you, 10.3 server has a changeip command.
