Can’t Boot Cancel No Smoking Sign

I’ve been playing around with NetRestore and Carbon Copy Cloner to create Apple Software Restore disc images.

This particular HD won’t boot. I get a bootup screen but instead of the apple I have a cancel sign. Kind of like a No Smoking sign but without the cigartette – a circle with a slash across it.

This particular disc image I have restored today using NetRestore on 3 Powerbooks, 2 FireWire HDs and 2 Dual G4’s.

I tried moving the HD to a different G4 and I still have the same problem. I tried mounting the disc image and then using CCC to do copy the mounted image to the HD. I still get the same problem at bootup.

Is this HD bad? This is a brand new out of the box for 36 hours G4 it came from.
