Cannot use remote WGM. Works fine on server.

I have tired on two separate machines to get into WGM to my OS X Server 10.4.10. It is an OD Master. When I enter is the valid diradmin and password I get the following error message:

“The server failed to accept the login information you provided. Check the Name and Password and try to log in again or contact your network administrator.”

Google is no help with this as it brings me to this site, but it was for a different problem.

Any ideas?

Ended up calling Apple and the brilliant David solved it. He had me go in as root using WGM from my client machine, which worked! It seems that both the diradmin and administrator accounts had the “administer the server” boxes unchecked.

I promise I didn’t uncheck them. He did tell me that this sometimes happens, so root is the backup.
