I am trying to create my first replica server on Snow Leopard. I get an error saying:

Your server cannot become a replica of ‘myhostname.mydomain.com’ because its directory contains augment user records.

    What did I do wrong?

    TIA.

Never mind. The 2nd attempt worked. I guess the definition of insanity is no longer doing the same thing over and expecting different results. Sorry.

I got this error as well.

I think I fixed it by making it a standalone machine, rebooting then creating the replica.

Thanks for the tip. I can verify that demoting the OD member to a standalone directory, restarting, and then promoting to a replica resolves this issue.

    Facts about my setup:

My OD Master was created in Leopard (with accounts migrated from Tiger OD), and migrated from Leopard to SL
My newest SL server was setup this week and added as a member of the OD.
I attempted to upgrade the new SL server to be an OD replica. This failed with the Augmented accounts error.
I have never created augmented accounts in my OD.
Following the above listed procedure, resolved the issue.

Same thing here…. Worked. I was connected to a directory with the server I wanted to turn into a replica. I changed to standalone and then setup the replica no problem.

Weird error as I have never created augmented records.
I did not have to reboot either.
