Cannot create new record for computer list

I’ve tried to find the answer but no one else seems to have this problem, I’m sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. We have extended our AD schema and I’m still unable to manage computer lists/groups in WGM. From what I’ve read, I should be able to go to the all records tab and choose “ComputerLists” from the dropdown, then click “New Record” to create a computer list record in the inspector. The “New Record” button is grayed out for this and all other records. I also tried creating a computer list via dscl, permissions are denied with the following error:

attribute status: eDSPermissionError
DS Error: -14120 (eDSPermissionError)

Any ideas?

BTW, we’re using the Snow Leopard server version 10.6.7.
