After creating a RAID Mirror on one of our G5 xServes (no hardware RAID) and installing Server 10.4.7 (Universal) onto the mirror without error the server refuses to boot from that mirror. I can install the OS on the third drive and it works fine. I’ve followed the same steps on several other xServes without a problem. I’ve checked permissions, re-created the RAID and installed an image vs. installing from the CD always with the same result. It will always look for anything else to boot from. The RAID does appear in the Startup Disk control panel and I’ve also tried blessing it from the CLI.

This is all compounded a bit as it is a headless xServe without a DVD drive, but that part is tolerable, if it would boot!

I searched the forums a bit but all I could find was an article from 2 years ago and no solution: https://www.afp548.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=6645

    Thanks for any help.
