Can these files be deleted?

I have about 130 files located at /var/tmp on my server under root. They range in size from 0KB to 788 MB. Are these just hogging space or do they continue to serve a purpose?
Most begin with tmp. however a few staft with rc_ or are just number and letter combinations.

I rebooted the server and they are still there. Modification dates range from May 05 to Dec 06. There is one file named krb5kdc_rcache dated today. I assume that has to do with Kerberos and should not be deleted. File name with sample of what is inside follow:
