Yes we’re still in ancient times here running filesharing on ASIP 6.3 on a B&W G3. According to the migration documentation, you can’t migrate privileges from ASIP to OS X Server when it’s going to a new box. I’ve tried to restore the ASIP files/folders with Retrospect but that does not retain the privileges. Is my only option to reset the privileges by hand on the OS X Server after I copied the data over? Many of the shared folders on ASIP are multiple levels deep and sorting out the privileges would be a mess.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Mac OS X Server (10.3.5) is running on a Powermac G4 1.25GHz.

    AppleshareIP (6.3) is running on a Powermac G3 Blue & White 35MHz.

Merely copying the data doesn’t move the sharepoints. Privileges appear to move over approapriately with the migration tool but I cannot find a way to move the data (files/folders) while retaining the sharepoints.
