    Hi Guys,

I have a clean (or I assume it was clean but I didnt do it but it was brand new Xserve G5 from the NZ Apple distributor who did do the setup) install of Panther Server 10.3.6. Everything works fine except for one persons mail. There are only 20 users, all of which have two email alias. [email protected], and [email protected]. Of course [email protected] is the first entry in WGM as it doesnt allow periods. For one user, and one user only, the first entry works (ie they can receive mail on [email protected]) but when you try and send mail to [email protected] you get a bounce saying the Mailbox "Kathelene" doesnt exist. The server logs indicate that the address [email protected] is being forwarded to [email protected]. The problem I have here is kathlene of course doesnt exist and never has.

WGM doesnt indicate that this redirection exits (as can be seen by the fact [email protected] works). Where can I look in the actual config files to find this supposed redirection and remove it.

    Thanks

I have had a look in /etc/aliases but there is no mention of this forward. It also only seems to contain the system names (ie postmaster, root, nobody, www etc).

I have managed to find the kathlene, if I look in the Netinfo Manager under afpuser_aliases, but it doesnt appear to be linked to anything else, and if I look in the users under Netinfo Manager Kate Mchugh (the correct name) only has the aliases k.mchugh (the address that forwards), katemchugh and kmchugh (neither of which forward)

I must have been a bit blind when I looked in /etc/aliases as right at the bottom there where all the links.

    Thanks for you r help
