Hello,
While using the archive function in serveradmin (which actually is based on slapconfig -backupdb), and afterwards trying to restore from that archive, I get some errors, the restore seems to be working fine though.
Still, I’d like to know where these errors come from:
As you can see below, first there is this authentication error in hdiutil. Strange, cause it seems to get trough it after all.hdiutil: attach failed – Authentication error
Second and worse:
at the end I’m getting this error:2006-03-28 11:55:35 +0200 – Error: command failed with exit code 256: /usr/sbin/slapadd -c -l
while merging the ldap DB
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

My OD is corrupt, LDAP Server is ‘stopped’ and I can’t add/delete users in Workgroup Manager (as admin, diradmin or root). After running the archive restore nothing changes, although I have successfully restored the same archive onto a test machine and add/remove users work on it.
I’m getting the same “hdiutil: attach failed – Authentication error” and “Error: command failed with exit code 256:” and thought it is this that prevents the archive from being restored properly and give me the permissions back.Is this the case and is there a way to somehow (manually?) restore from the backup archive successfully?
By the way this is all on the OD master. I have OD replica on which LDAP server is running, but still the add/remove users buttons in Workgroup Manager there are grayed out.
