Hello,
I have very strange problem. I am running OS X Server (version 10.4.11). For some odd reason very often crashes services. Unfortunately SYSLOG doesn’t write anything since February, 4th and all older logs (GZipped) have just 33kb. I tried to restart SYSLOGD and run it in debug mode, but result is the same. Very ofter I see disabled AFP service. When I enable it, it disable itself in hour or so (or at least Workgroup Manager show the service as disabled). Nothing written to APPLEFILESERVICEERROR.LOG and even the AFP is enabled it takes ages (like 5-7 minutes) to mount shared volume. The same problem is with SMB and FTP services. Several times server restart itself without any notification or kernel panic or so. I know that best way is to reinstall the server, but I would like to determine the root of the problem. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
