We are about to start development on a new authentication module for QTSS. The existing one is only a very basic module, similar to standard htaccess. We want to write a module that authenticates with LDAP instead.
The problem today is that any streaming project within an organization probably needs to be protected from outsiders. Managing a flatfile list of all company users that needs to be synced with the normal directory server is the only current option. Writing a module that works similar to the ldap module in the apache project will make a much more flexible system.
We would love to just have your input into what features sould be implemented. A collaborative project would be even better. We are in a planning stage now and expect to get to the technical design within a month.
