Has anyone tried authenticating their Redhat clients to OD or other Open LDAP server? I am curious what kind of issues you are seeing and how you went about it.

I know this is a bit backwards to some of you, but I just don’t want to redo ldap on linux, I really like the OD interface and how well it works with windows.

I successfully setup Redhat (Fedora) to authenticate to OD with Kerberos it was very straight forward as I recall.

I was able to get it working, but now anyone can ssh into the box that has an account on my main OS X server. I’d like to restrict it to a particular group. I’ve played around with the /etc/ldap.conf file with no luck. anyone else ever get it to work?

    thanks,
