    Hello All,

It has been a decade since I took a cert test in anything apple related.  Between the release cycle (down to a year) and the learning curve (just not that steep) I have not found the personal need.

So I ask the community at large, are certifications in general and for Apple products specifically relevant any more? Does it pay to put money and time away from work into these certs?  Are they more impressive on a resume than experience?  Do they actually mean a level of mastery at the material or do they simply represent a check box and an ability with short term memory?

I’d say that they are still important. In my opinion the difficulty is less and less with every new certification but to an outsider still proves (some) knowledge.

Having only Apple certifications might not be ideal but I think they are worth, specially since they are cheap
