I tried to submit an article (using the handy “Contribute” link) on managing site-wide buddy lists for the iChat server, but the site responds “Spam detected and Comment or Message was deleted”.
Is there a guide somewhere to structuring an article so the filter won’t think it’s spam, or is article submission here just hosed?
Quote by: MacTroll[p]We also use a spam link verification system which uses a central database to track included links against those that have shown up in comment spam across a number of sites. That’s what’s tripping you up here.
What links were you trying to include?[/p]
Other than a single link to search.cpan.org, all the links pointed to tar.gz files hosted on my own server (at http://www.cliq.com); neither of those _should_ be listed in any spam databases. š
I’ve put a copy of the article HTML at http://www.cliq.com/chatserv/posts/rostergroup-04.html, so hopefully you can tell me how I ran afoul of the spam filter.

EDIT: Thanks for responding, by the way. I understand how big a pain comment spam can be.
Quote by: MacTroll[p]Anyway, you’re posted on the top of the front page now. Thanks for the submission and thanks for the homemade libations in front of Dave’s the other week.[/p]
And thank you; now to get started on the one for bandersnatch. š
