Hello All, I am working in a school on an 2GHz G5 Xserve running 10.4.6. During the upgrade to 10.4.6 I had to stop sharing all of my sharepoints and reestablish them. Now i am running into an issue where the server admin app says that AFP is stopped. However I (and all of my users) can still log in at this time. I am happy the service is working but I need SA to report the correct status. The logs are’nt capturing anything either. Any one else running into this???

I’ve just ran into this today.
Restarting the server seems to have fixed it. (we’ll see for how long)

Commandline and HTTPS:311 both had reported the service as stopped, yet users were able to access the files just fine.

With reconfiguring I have found that if the user is connected that they stay connected, but on logging out and back on the logins fail. Both rebooting client and serever machines resets things.
