Upgrading our old 10.4 network home servers to 10.6. This used to never happen, but now when we ssh into the hosts the afp homes shares are mounted. While this is pretty neat, we’re not really interested in doing this. Is there a way to disable the afp shares from mounting at a successful ssh login?

Previously we’ve added a “local” home entry in ldap called localHomeDirectory and then map it to Users NFSHomeDirectory in Directory Utility. I’ve done the same in this case but it appears to be ignored half the time and we get the afp mount.

So basically, there is no way to disable this?

I’m curious about this as well. Has anyone had any success disabling the auto mounting of a network home when the user logs in via SSH?
