    Here is the setup:

    10.3.5 Server/XServe G5

Any time I add/subtract a share using WGM, it instantly disconnects all clients attached via AFP and I have to restart the service before anyone can connect to a share again. It doesn’t crash the AFP daemon, but it displays no share points until the service is restarted. This makes it rather inconvenient currently to modify any of my shares because I have to wait until after working hours as to not risk booting working individuals from the server. Any clues?

I had this problem happen a couple of times as well, just recently, and would love to hear if anyone knows why it is happening or how to remedy this.

All in all I’m not that impressed with Panther server, especially AFP sharing … have had unending issues since upgrading :/
