“/Library/Logs/AppleFileService/AppleFileServiceAccess.log”

I have logging set to capture logged in users, file opens, file creation, and file deletion. However in the log, all I see is the connected ip addres and the file name that was created, opened, or deleted. Is there any way to make the logging more verbose? I would like to see the actual username rather than just the ip, and the full file path instead of just the file name.

There are a few threads regarding this online, but none with an answer.

    Thank you,
    Ken

    Hi Ken,

I have the same issue with the AFP logs. Ideally, it would be much like apache or vsftpd logs. Here is a snip from the FTP log I’m referring to:
Sun Aug 16 13:42:28 2009 [pid 4686] [username] OK UPLOAD: Client “4.34.33.24”, “/path/to/file”, 5848 bytes, 24938.59Kbyte/sec
In my opinion, the system should show the username, IP address and full path to the file. Bandwidth will be nice as well for troubleshooting and statistics.

I will continue to look for a solution, and if I will post any updates.
