ParticipantHi,
I’ve got a problem and can’t working out a solution.
I got a 10.5.5 OS X Server running as an OD and the User homes are stored on that server. The client machines (10.5.5) have only the system wich also incluedes some additional applications. Everthing runs well, besides I got a problem with the latest Adobe Reader. When I’m logged in with the local client admin account (not yet passworded cuz I’m configuring), I’m able to start Adobe Reader and accept the License Agreement and negotiate Adobe Reader as plug-in for Safari and as standard application to open PDFs (the “I-am-so-important-dialogs”). Then Adobe Reader starts without a problem.
When I do the same with a user stored at the OD, I can follow the dialogs and either accepting or negotioating didn’t work, Adobe Reader quits unexpected or I just got that damn BBD (Beachball of Death) and I have to force quit.
Nevertheless I have to enter the admin name and passwort to dialog, it isn’t working out, so I am guessing this might be permission problem, but can’t figure out, where to point my finger.
Even a reinstall of Adobe Reader (as I expected) didn’t help anything.
Thanks for help.

ParticipantWe’re having the same issue here with no success in finding a solution. My guess is you’re using Reader 9. We’ve found that reverting back to Reader 8 solves the issue.

ParticipantSorry for late responding.
Yes, a a few hours after my post I did the same. I took Adobe Reader 8 (which I had also installed in another environment, after the post I looked it up which version it would be and this was 8) and istalled it, kicked Adobe Reader 9 and now it runs perfectly. Thank you Adobe for this feature.
