admin’s have managed preferences

I have a lab with the AD-OD setup. It works but has this strange issue.

I have checked allow administrators to disable management in Tiger Server 10.4.11

We have Leopard clients 10.5.7

I cannot get them to disable management for administrators. When I hold down the option key and login, it does nothing.

Any ideas on where to trouble shoot this ?

Run “mcxquery” command from the client and see what the output says (Leopard only).

The option key should bring up the group picker window, but that check box “allow admins to refresh….” I think is just a Leopard server thing. You might be running the Leopard WGM against a Tiger server which might be giving you that extra option. I’m not sure if it would work in that case.
