I restored my first image with asr and while testing the default account which has admin priviledges I made a couple of test files as well. Everything seemed to be going well until I tried to empty the trash.

Since it was more then one file and changing rights on the files didn’t seem to matter I am left to guess that this is not the well known “can’t delete this file from the trash error” because it affects any file made.

I ran disk persmissions fix and was left with the same error when trying to empty the trash with any file. So I am wondering what else I should look at to fix this. Any ideas?

Try Enabling root then relog in as root and empty the trash.

    Gary,

I figured out the reason it wasn’t working. As we all know the trash contains items from any volume we have thrown out. There was something wrong with the firewire drive that was keeping me from creating and deleting any file. I still don’t know why but I was able to create, mount, and then restore successfully.
