Has anyone successfully configured their Address Book to connect over SSL to an Open Directory server?

I have Address Book connecting over port 636 with the SSL checkbox enabled.

The oddest thing is that all of my non-Apple clients appear to connect to the server just fine over port 636. Even (yikes) Microsoft Entourage works.

When I watch the console, on the client, I see “Can’t Contact LDAP Server (81)”.

On the server, I see an attempted negotiation.

Now here’s a clue: When I turn off SSL on the Entourage Directory Client, I see the _exact_ same behavior on the server.

Anyone else seen anything like this? I’m thinking that this might have some problem with Address Book not liking self-signed certs (since the cert works fine with everything else).

Yeah, the cert has been added in to the x509 anchors. Have you had success?
