    Hi all,
    We have a problem with AD-auth. macs (10.3.5) AD= W2k3.
    Aome users may not empty thier trash from the GUI, terminal works fine so no permission.related problem. Our users have 4 or 5 letters in their usernames and the problem only strikes users with 4 letters!!!
    And only some of them… STRANGE!!!
    We also know that this is not hardware related, same on all (G4,G5,XServe).

    Any ideas?

    Are you using managed Finder preferences? This will happen if you use Simplified Finder.

    This is not the case… Though we use OS X Server to handle “user management”… This doesn’t matter… We get the same if only using AD-plugin on our clients…
