My earlier posts have been a bit lengthy – but this is my main goal. All Macs running 10.3.4. Can my existing AD users who are stored on a Windows PDC with a folder on Windows server ALSO have a OSX home folder that is stored on the Xserve ? I want them to access both from each platform i.e. login to PC with Win home & see their OSX home folder as an accessible folder, AND login to Mac with OSX home folder (stored on Xserve, not local Mac) and see Win folder as an accesible folder ?
Is this, or a similar setup to this, possible using AD plugin in Directory Access, Workgroup Manager in OSXS OD Master and minor mods to windows user info ? Do I need to enable Windows services on the Xserve in a particualr setup ? Should I disable local homes with dsconfgad ?
I’m also getting a message that tells me I can’t login with my account stored in the Xserves LDAP (127.0.0.1) domain because the home folder is stored on an AFP or SMB server … ?
