AD integration w/o an XServe.

Greetings all,

I’ve reviewed the AD integration in under 3 hrs article. I’m wondering if anyone has come up with a “much more unified” approach as opposed to the “guerilla approach” as Joel mentions in his article. I am a Windows admin and have full access to the AD schema and have now been tasked with the Mac integration. I attempted this previously with an app called ADmitMac by Thursby. It seemed to work at first but it caused an unbelievable amount of file permissions issues from not being able to mount the networked home dir. because of kerberos to locking down the local hdd to the admin and just about everything in between.
