I have an Open Directory server with about 50 accounts. For the most part this puppy runs like a champ. But, for some strange reason, I’m having issues with two users. For some unknown reason these two accounts become inactive every day. Sometimes it happens, when they log out, sometimes it’s when they reboot. I have to go into the WorkGroup manager and re-enable there accounts. I’ve tried deleting these accounts and re-mapping there home directories. I’ve also tried resetting there passwords. No luck. There’s nothing in the error logs to suggest what’s going on. It’s just plain wacky I tell you. Anybody seen this one before? Any clues?

Update: I was looking at the wrong server logs. I was looking at the Password Server Replication Logs. Opps. I checked the other Password Server log on these two accounts. It seems that the server was registerating that they were making too many incorrect password entries, so it locked out there account. I removed some old server passwords from there keychains, and turned off the Password Policy for too many failed login attempts. We’ll see what happens.

    Thanks.
