I have a directory on a webserver that is owned by root with a group of unknown. I went into Server Admin and shared it. I then went into the “Access” tab and dragged the users who I want to have access and gave them Read and Write access. I set it to “Apllies to “This Folder. Child Files. Child Folders. All Descendants.” The blurb above it says “Access control list entries take precedence over the standard permissions above.”
Well, when one of the users logs in and attempts to edit a file, it says the file is locked and cannot be edited.
What am I doing wrong?
