Your homemounter scripts really made things 100% easier on me since the PC guys in my department decided to forgo AD integration of homefolders and used a VBS script for their stuff. Just a few modifications and I was mounting the home folders perfectly fine. But now I have two issues. Our first is that not everyone in my district uses homefolders, its a limitation we are trying to fix, but atm only high school and select faculty have them. Right now the script will make a symbolic link even if there is no folder present which is pointless for those users logging in who do not have folders and I suspect would cause some confusion if I where to deploy as is. Is there something in the homemounter.sh file I could put in to check to see if a folder is present and end the script is it isnt?
Second is in deployment. On the PC side our guys are deploying their VBS script for mounting as a GPO for the users, which to my knowledge is not possible on the mac side as scripting is blocked for user groups, only computer groups in WGM 10.5. Is there any way to apply those scripts to users as opposed to groups, or am I just going to have to deploy it to the computers that matter and keep good track of them that they dont get moved without my knowledge to a building they shouldn’t be at?
Again thank you so much for the help those scripts gave me
