We are trying to setup a wired 802.1x network and have Windows 2003 server and XP clients and they work fine. But trying to get 10.5.2 to work and the lack of information anywhere we can’t get it to work.
We are trying to use TLS at the system level. So is what we need is the cert to be taken before the login window and let the Mac get on the network on startup. I would imagine you use System and add the cert to the system level.
That leads to another issue…..which type of cert to use…..we have tried various setups without any luck. Does anyone know of the absolute type of cert you should use and how to setup OS 10.5.x?
We cant’ tell if its a Mac 10.5.x bug/issue or if its a cert issue or a Microsoft/Mac platform issue.
