    Hi,

I’m testing a setup using two x-serves and one x-serve raid in a settup using a Qlogic Sanbox 5200. my knowledge about FC techniques is close to zero.

when connecting a default configured xraid with the two SPF connectors to the FC switch and one SPF connector from the x-serve to the same switch i can get the left and right raid volumes to mount on the server, but when copying lots of data (about 1 Gb) from one volume to the other volume things break up and the volumes gets unmounted.

I don’t think this has something to do with faulty hardware but more with a lack of configuration to the switch, raid and server(s) and knowledge from my side 🙂

Anyone can give me some hints where to start or a link to some nice howto’s on the net ?

    TIA !

Throthle the speed back to 1G did not solve the problem, changing the the firmware to version 4.0.6.02 did the trick
(more info and download here, Using this firmware also enable you to use the mac verion of the SanBox Manager)
