So I use afctl with php to have my website automatically protect themselves from DoS type attacks. It works VERY well. Problem is I just updated from 10.5.6 to 10.5.8 via software update, and now afctl is DEAD! My server is getting SWAMPED right now, something like 150 http requests per second and climbing. When I run afctl myself, just to see what happens, I get this error:
[quote]2009-08-28 04:36:23.551 afctl[610:a0b] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception ‘NSRangeException’, reason: ‘*** -[NSCFArray objectAtIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1)’

I’m very much at a loss here. I think I’m going to try to download 10.5.8 again and install it. And if that doesn’t work, I have no idea what to do.

not that it’s any consolation, but i haven’t found afctl yet under 10.6. seems to be gone…
