we have a bunch of 10.5 Server xserves. on more than one i’ve seen the Finder get to a state where all applications fail to launch. clicking on any application in the Dock produces a couple of bounces and then it stops. there are no errors of any sort that i can see. the only solution i’ve found is restarting the server.

i’ve repaired permissions. also, killAll Finder or killAll Dock doesn’t temporarily resolve it.

has anyone else seen this and found a fix?
