I recently did a clean install of 10.5 server using the “workgroup” configuration. I set up the AD binding on the server to our AD server using Directory Utility. I have added AD accounts as “External Members” to a group in Server Prefs and have all of the group services turned on. I go to a client machine that is also running 10.5 and is bound to the same AD server and to the 10.5 server. I log in as an AD user on the client with no problem. I then cannot authenticate as that same AD user to the group wiki or the shared group folder on my 10.5 server. I can authenticate to those services using an OD test account I created on the 10.5 server.

What am I doing wrong? Note that I am not a trained IT professional but I am a Mac software developer who has to administer these systems in a small satellite office so please be gentle. 🙂

    Thanks!

Well, I see that a bunch of people have looked at my post but nobody has replied. Does anybody actually provide any help in this forum? Even a hint as to what to look at would be appreciated.

resurrecting an old post, I know. I hate the implication that there is not an acknowledgment that this is an issue.

Enabling wiki access for Active Directory or third-party LDAP server users

Known issue – has to do with the authentication method that the wiki/blog server uses.
