I’m having trouble with 10.4.7 Universal on intel macs. I can clean install on a PPC (G5) box, join the domain, and kerberize the services using the button in Server Admin:Open Directory. Then i can connect to shares on that box over SMB as an AD user.

If i do exactly the same thing on an intel box (Mac Pro and iMac tried), Samba won’t accept authentication from AD users, with or without a kerb ticket. I’ve even tried cloning a working setup from the PPC box to the Intel box, and then Samba starts up without error, but never actually starts listening for clients.

Can anyone else confirm this happening on Intel boxes?
