    Hi all,

I have an OS X server version 10.4.3, bound to AD. In my case, binding is not a problem, maintaining it appears to very difficult.

So far i tried from 2 different machines (both running 10.4.3 server) with same result: a restart of the server or waiting for 1-2 days will cause the macs to loose connection with AD (lookupd -d; allUsers: displays only local Netinfo users).

DNS forward and reverse are good for DCs and OS X servers.
I am using a preferred DC on the same subnet as the OS X servers.

Anybody can shed some light on this?

    Hello,

we also use a 10.4.3. server but have not experienced at similar behaviour ( yet ). We tried to integrate with 10.3..x a year ago and had that problem at that time, but since using 10.4. is has gone.
what does dscl localhost return when you try to ls your way through AD ? Any error messages ?

    greetings

    Thomas

    Thomas,

    Thank you for your reply.
Just to update you, I bound one more time the very next day and did not have this issue anymore (yet) Laughing Out Loud
I’ll let you know the error message, if it will happen again . Meanwhile Directory service are in debug mode, so I’m hoping for some extra info.

    Thanks again
