I’m running a 10.4.10 server, and I’ve had a great many problems with AD integration in the past (see https://www.afp548.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=17638 for the relevant thread). I haven’t installed 10.4.11 yet, but I noticed this in the patch notes:

    Fixes/compatibility updates for:

    – using AFP, SMB/CIFS, NFS and FTP file sharing protocols
    – login and authentication in Open Directory and Active Directory environments

Does anyone know what specifically this means? Is it a resolution to the problem I mentioned in the other thread, or is it unrelated? Has anyone installed 10.4.11 and found it fixes certain issues? Or, has 10.4.11 broken anything? Has anyone’s AD integration suffered from the installation? Please post any anecdotes…

See this post for my problems with mobile-accts and network-accts after updating client to 10.4.11.

I’ve seen a couple of reports (not many, mind you) of 10.4.11 causing problems. Does anyone have a successful installation in an AD environment? Has 10.4.11 resolved problems for anyone? I was wondering what the fixes that Apple mentioned actually are.
