    Hi-
    I am able to get my Mac OS X 4.11 server to bind with a test windows domain I have created (we created a test domain so we wouldn’t have to make any changes to our production AD domain). However, when I got join the server to the appropriate kerberos realm, I am unable to do so. The ‘Join Kerberos Realm’ window comes up but in the realm field it says ‘(null) Default’ When I try to join it I get the following error message:

    ‘Computer record not available
    The Open Directory Administrator has not used this computer’s primary ethernet address when adding this computer to a computer list’

    I’m not really sure where to go from here, if anyone has any ideas or would need more info from me to diagnose this problem I would love some help.

    Thanks in advance.

    I’ve run into this same scenario (10.4.11 Server and Win 2003 Server R2).

    I thought it might be due to the fact that I’m using both GigE ports (second is used for Xsan client), but I can confirm that “en0” is set at top of SysPrefs/Network priority list.

    FYI: Forward/reverse DNS records are working. I have un/bound Directory Access multiple times. I’m getting krb5.keytab entries, but cannot seem to successfully join Kerberos Realm (KDC from AD).

    @traveler400

    Were you able to do this under Mac OS X Server 10.4.10?
