So…
Is Server 10.4 better than 10.3?
I’m not a server kind of guy, but like a lot of people, still have server responsibilities. I’ve been very lucky in getting most services up and running, without too many problems.
However, in 10.3, while I was able to host web pages from multiple domains, I was unable to get mail to work correctly with multiple domains.
And in 10.3, while I was able to get NAT up and running, it never really stayed up and running very long.
This is a small office, and the server mainly handles file serving and storage, but we’d like to have it host our heretofore commercially hosted web sites, but I haven’t moved them yet because of the mail issue.
While I’m sure there were solutions under 10.3.x, they didn’t seem to be in the GUI, but rather some type of modification that needed to be done to some files with the terminal. And while I’m not a total stranger to the terminal, I was still not able to get things to work correctly.
So my question is, with Tiger 10.4.x, is it EASIER to handle mail correctly from multiple domains through the GUI? And does NAT work BETTER under 10.4 than under 10.3?
