I’m not sure where the correct place to post this is, so if this is incorrect, feel free to move it.

I received a XServe G5, DP 2.0GHz, 2GB ram, removed from a working installation. It was stored it in my rack for the past year, unconnected to any cables or power supplies. I tried to power it on earlier this week with a clean ADM installed and all I can get is flashing blue lights on the top processor indicator. They go back and forth sequentially blinking from the one end to the other, only the top row. After a few minutes the fans all go to max. I have tried to boot into target disk mode and the others but to no avail. The ADM shows a green light and no amber indicator lights on the front panel. Any help would be appreciated…. Thanks.

Have you tried resetting the pram?
    hold Command-Option-P-R on startup
It never hurts when there are startup problems.
    Good Luck,
    Robert
