    Hi,

Recently have been getting the following entries in my Web log for a site that WebMail is enabled:

[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: version in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 36
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant SERVER_NAME – assumed ‘SERVER_NAME’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 59
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant SquirrelMail – assumed ‘SquirrelMail’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 542
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant user – assumed ‘user’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 543
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant prefkey – assumed ‘prefkey’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 544
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant prefval – assumed ‘prefval’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 545
[Sat Mar 12 09:06:06 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant detect – assumed ‘detect’ in /private/etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php on line 550

Users can send/receive WebMail just fine, no errors in Mail log. No changes have been made to my PHP/Apache/Mail configurations for months.

Anyone know what this could be?

    Cory

I had to do a total reinstall due to the Mac OS X Server Security Update 003. Since I did the reinstall, this issue is resolved.

    Thanks anyway,

    Cory

Is a reinstall the only solution? I just got the same set of errors for webmail. Everything else is functional, including email access via IMAP.

    Thanks,
    Ric

Okay It’s too late to answer you.
But if some of you encounter this problem:
I think that you have to check your php.ini. It is about error_reporting,
You have to change display_error in Off.
This will only hide your message error (which are notices) and will not correct this notices.
Expecting that Apple will see this notices.
