Some Basic launchd questions/Apache log rotation

Apparently, there’s something horribly wrong with my plist file, and don’t I wish I could find it!

I created a new plist using Lingon and used your pointless script (and I mean that in a good way), and it loaded fine, executed fine, and unloaded fine, too.

Guess I’ll just have to try a Lingon-generated plist with my script now.

I’ll let you know how it comes out…

I’d guess that you either copied and pasted an example configuration file out of a web page or a PDF file or used TextEdit.app and introduced non-ASCII data to the plist. Open it with a good text editor and tell it to “show invisibles” or “zap gremlins” or something and you’ll more than likely see the cause.

Nope, no garbage.

But there’s a split line (which shouldn’t make a difference, but…) and I used a key “Day” instead of “Weekday,” and I’ll bet that’s it.

Problem solved!

Ah, missed that. You should have seen some launchd errors in the logs if the syntax was incorrect.
